Gurpreet is an actor who divides his acting between TV and films. In our opinion, he has perhaps deservedly, taken a serious choice of films in recent years. Admittedly his career in Bollywood and Punjabi films has delivered some superbly performances in the recent years. For the next few years, he will remain as one of the biggest comedian stars in Punjabi cinema.

His memorable performances include in films such as ‘ Namastey London’,’ Race’, ‘ Singh Is Kinng’, ‘Mera Pind’, ‘Jijja Ji’, ‘Jag Jeondeyan De Mele’, ‘Tera Mera Ki Rishta’, etc. Although the actor came to everyone’s attention in the reality show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’, but again another reality show ‘ Hans Baliye’ on Star One TV along with his wife Kuljeet Kaur where they won the contest made him pretty famous. Today, he has become one of TV’s funniest, most reliable comedy stars. Since then he has regularly popped up in cameo roles, and his career continues to blossom. He has been a hugely successful star for a decade now. The actor was born on July 19, 1971, in Gurudaspur district of Punjab.

He is married to Kuljeet Kaur, who hails from Jalandhar. They have a son and daughter and living a happy married life. Although Ghuggi has worked in many successful Bollywood movies, he turned into a producer of a Punjabi film in which he urged Akshay Kumar and Om Puri to act. It was a limited budget film that helped him to collaborate with Akshay Kumar. Ghuggi feels that since he had entered the entertainment industry through Punjabi TV shows and cinema, his priority will be to produce Punjabi movies only.
