Rob Cotterill born 26th November 1971, is a renowned figure in the film industry. With a career spanning over two decades, Rob has dedicated his life to making cinema, making significant contributions as a producer and creative collaborator. Rob started making films in 1994. He met Jason Eisner by fate during the filming of “Trailer Park Boys” which has led to a fruitful partnership. Their shared vision led them to craft the sensational fake trailer for “Hobo with a Shotgun,” which won them the SXSW Grindhouse Trailer Competition in Austin, Texas. After this success, Rob and Jason’s creative synergy continued to flourish, they made the short film “Treevenge,” which got critical acclaim and earned numerous awards worldwide, even an honorable mention at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.

Rob’s career entered a new chapter when Yer Dead Productions, a genre-centered production house based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia was established. With the team at Halifax, he made the full-length feature film “Hobo with a Shotgun.” The film premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2011 and received accolades, one of which was a spot in TFF Top Ten Canadian Films of 2011. Rob has showcased his talents as a producer in various anthology feature films. He has contributed to projects like “Y is for Youngbuck” in “ABC’s of Death” and “Slumber Party Alien Abduction” in “V/H/S/2’ receiving critical acclaim and further cementing his reputation in the industry. Rob produced Jason’s chilling short film, “One Last Drive,” which captivated audiences around the world. The Huffington Post has dubbed it “The Scariest 1-Minute Movie Ever.” It got a million views and received recognition as a Vimeo Staff Pick.
