Lauren Weisberger English Actress

Lauren Weisberger is an Americana author and novelist known worldwide for her first novel The Devil Wears Prada. She was born on March 28th, 1977, in a small town in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to a teacher mother and a Jewish mortgage broker father, who was previously the president of a departmental store. All her life she kept moving from one place to another. She spent her early days in Scranton, Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. After her parent's divorce, she moved to Allentown, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley with her sister Dana. For high school, she went to The Parkland High School, in South Whitehall, Pennsylvania. After college, she traveled to countries throughout Europe, Hong Kong, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Nepal, India, and Thailand. After returning to America, she started working for the Vogue magazine along with Dame Anna Wintour and Charles Salzberg but left after only ten months. She then joined the Departures Magazine for which she wrote about 100 reviews of 100 words and soon became an assistant editor. She also published an article for Playboy magazine in 2014. The Devil Wears Prada (a Chick lit) was the first novel Lauren ever wrote.

The book was published on October 6th, 2003, and became a best-selling novel in New York instantly. Lauren even played a small role in the second half. In 2005, she came up with her second novel – Everyone Worth Knowing (story of a single woman in the big New York City). The novel was the bestseller for a couple of weeks, but the sales dropped drastically. On May 27th, 2008, she came up with her third novel - Chasing Harry Winston.

The book received a negative response and was called the worst book of 2008 but it was later announced that the book would be released in Dutch, French (Sexe, diamants et plus si affinités) and Italian (Un anello da Tiffany & Co). The book will also be made into a movie by Universal Pictures. On June 4th, 2013, she released the sequel to her first success called - Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns. Followed by, she came up with the idea of Last Night at Chateau Marmont in August 2010. Her latest works include her writing a short story called The Bamboo Confessions. Published by Simon & Schuster on July 12th, 2016, she came up with a book called The Singles Game.
