Ashley Jensen is a popular Scottish narrator and TV and film actress. She was born in Annan Scotland on September 21, 2008. She joined the National Youth Theatre and was trained at Queen Margaret University in Musselburgh, Scotland. Her first TV role was in the final series of BBC’s British sitcom, May to December. In the year 1994, she played the role of Heather Butcher in the drama series, Roughnecks. Few years after, she appeared as Clare Donnelly on BBC’s Down Among the Big Boys. Ashley then played the role of Fiona Morris in the British soap, East Eanders.

She played a small role in the medical drama series, Dangerfield (Episode: Contact). In 2003, she was seen as Angie Raeburn on BBC Television’s TV drama, Two Thousand Acres of Sky, along with Paul Kaye and Michelle Collins. In the year 2006, she was also seen in the short-lived four-part British TV series, Eleventh Hour, on ITV channel. In 2007, she worked in the narration of the documentary film, Taking Liberties. Ashley also narrated the advertisement campaign of Bank of Scotland and the advertisement of Persil Detergent for both radio and TV.

In 2014, it was announced that Ashley would play the titular role in the TV film adaptation of M.C. Beaton’s novel entitled Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death. The following year, she was starred on Channel 4’s British sitcom, Catastrophe, alongside Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney. Also in 2015, she co-starred with Susan Calman in the comedy series, Sisters. On January 29, 2007, Ashley got married to Terence Beesley (actor) in Big Sur, California. She met the actor while working on the production of William Shakespeare’s King Lear in 1999. The couple had a son named Francis Jonathan Beesley.
