Shalhoub is a famous actor who has mostly done television series and movies. Anthony Marcus “Tony” Shalhoub was born on 9th of October, 1953. It was in Green Bay area itself where Tony has done his schooling at Green Bay East High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in drama. This was from the University of Maine, and later a Masters’ degree from the famed Yale School of Drama in late 1980. Tony Shalhoub got worldwide fame after appearing on the TV series Monk, playing the character of Detective Adrian Monk. Displaying his stupendous skills playing OCD-prone detective, Tony was nominated for eight consecutive years at the Emmys, eventually winning in ’03,’05 and ’06! The journey till ‘Monk’ wasn’t an easy one.

After procuring the Masters’ degree, to support his acting expeditions, Tony did the job of waiting tables in New York City. His Broadway debut was in ‘The Odd Couple’ and it was here he found his future wife, Brooke Adams. Shalhoub, in addition to movies and plays has also been part of voiceover projects. On the 2006 movie, Cars he gave his voice of Luigi and reprised his role again when the sequel titled Cars 2 came out in 2011. The same happened in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series where he voiced Splinter. Tony received a Grammy nomination too for his voice in ‘The Cricket in Times Square.’ Tony Shalhoub’s recent endeavors include the Broadway play ‘The Price.’ He is also back with third installment in the Cars series in 2017 as well as movies such as Final Portrait and Breakable You, both of which were slated to be released in 2017.
