Narayana Rao Rampilla was born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. He is an actor, director, producer, writer, and poet. He did Bsc from Andhra University. After completing his graduation, he went to V.R. Law College of SreeVenkateswara University. He then completed his postgraduation in International and Comparative Constitutional Law from the University of Madras. After that, he went to JawaharLal Nehru University in New Delhi to pursue a doctoral program in law. He was on a 14 days hunger strike at JNU, New Delhi,opposing discrimination on the basis of caste.
