A Co Director Is Someone Who Directs The Film With The Main Director
A co director is someone who directs the film with the main director. They might be hired because of their skill to direct some portion or in some cases, because the director is busy. A co director is also a director by profession but sometimes could also be the writer of the film and someone who is closely involved from the scripting stage of the film.
He or she collaborates with the main director to work on a project of their choice and the scenes are pre decided of who's going to direct which scenes. Sometimes a co director is hired later on when the actors or the producers feel that the director isn't being able to perform at their best and in turn it's harming the film. In that case, the co director takes over the project.
A co director can also be hired to direct scenes that they specialize in.
