Gurthunda Seethakalam is scripted and directed by “Nagashekar.” Bhavana Ravi, Nagasekhar, and Ramarao Chintapalli produced the film. Satya Hegde took care of the visuals and editing department was cared by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. Kaala Bhairava composed the music. Satyadev Kancharana, Tamannaah Bhatia, Megha Akash, Suhasini Maniratnam, and Kavya Shetty are cast in prominent roles. Gurthunda Seethakalam is an official remake of the hit Kannada film Love Mocktail.
Dev and Ammu were in love. But their love story fails, and they parted ways. Later, Dev marries Nidhi and starts a new family life. Though it started pretty well, their life took a turn, putting them in trouble. After some time, Dev meets Divya and shares his life story with her. What happened to Nidhi? The rest of the film deals with this.
Satyadev and Tamannaah did justice to the given roles. Megha is quite decent in her talkative girl role. Suhasini’s cameo role is neat.
Not all the remakes are impressive. This is one of that kind. Though the film has Satyadev and Tamannaah, the beautiful performers, the film lacks some emotions. Especially, Tamannaah’s role should have been designed better. Though the actress has given her best in the movie, her role lacks depth. Tamaanaah’s performances had always been impressive, including this film. However, if her role had been solid, the film would have reached a better place than now. The music is not much impressive, and the visuals are pretty decent.
What’s Not There?
Even though the film has high performers, the film failed to reach its place due to the lack of some characters’ depth. However, if you love watching Tamannaah and Satyadev’s performances, it is a one-time watch.
