Godfather is the official remake of "Lucifer," the superhit Malayalam film of "Mohanlal." Godfather is directed by Mohan Raja. “Chiranjeevi,” Salman Khan, “Nayanthara,” “Samuthirakani,” Puri Jagannadh, Satyadev Kancharana, Murli Sharma, Sunil Varma, “Brahmaji,” Divi Vadthya, and “Gangavva” are cast. Prabhu Deva and Warina Hussain appeared in the guest roles. Nirav Shah cranked the camera, and the editing is by "Marthand K Venkatesh." Thaman composed the music. Ram Charan, "R B Choudary," and NV Prasad produced the film.

After the death of the state's CM, colossal confusion prevails in appointing the next CM. The primary competition is between Satya and her husband, Jai. Satya is the daughter of the late CM. Brahma's entry in this tough time makes the situation worse. Who is Brahma, and what is his role in appointing the CM? The rest of the film deals with all the tensions the story has.

Star Performance
Chiranjeevi looks stylish and impressive as usual. His tight face and dialogue delivery make us feel that even without dance and cracking comedy, this star could shine well. Nayanthara did justice to the given role. Satyadev's performance needs a special mention. Salman's guest appearance is quite decent.

Though the film is Lucifer's remake, many changes had been made to suit the sensibilities of the Telugu audience and Chiranjeevi's persona. The original version has excellent scripting, direction, and a stunning performance by Mohanlal. Though it is simply superb, Chiru's body language, mannerisms, and performance prove his versatility. The artist selection is impressive, and kudos to the casting team. Nayanthara and Satyadev are the biggest assets of this film. Thaman has once again proved that he is the King of BGM. Nirav Shah's visuals are stunning.

What's There?

  • Good scripting, direction, and performances
  • The visuals are appealing, and the BGM is good

What's Not There?

  • There are a few minor flaws

Though the original version is Stunning, the remake didn't have many loopholes. This film would be a great watch for action and political movie lovers and Chiranjeevi fans!
