Sharwanand has had two consecutive hits including Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju and Run Raja Run and obviously there are a lot of expectations for this movie. Let’s see how Express Raja expresses himself.

Plot

Here is another happy go lucky guy of Tollywood movies. Our hero Sharwanand is living with his uncle Prabhas Srinu in Vizag, and it happens that he is smitten by Surabhi. Eventually, he only gets the ire of her due to his behavior. And how our hero emerges successful in his love life forms the rest of the story.

Star Performances

Sharwanand proves his mettle with his unique style of acting. He effortlessly portrays his reckless character. Also, his comic timing is just awesome. Surabhi captures your heart with her striking beauty and decent acting skills. Sapthagiri has done a great job with comedy, and he deserves special mention. What’s there?

Some of the dialogues of Sharwanand will appeal to the mass audience.
Praveen Lakkaraju’s music is the highlight of the movie and the music caters to the youth.
A simple story may be a positive or negative as per the mindset of the viewer. Some may expect the story to be out-of-box. But Express Raja has a simple plot that is executed well.
Karthik Ghatamaneni’s cinematography gives the required richness to the movie.
The first half is highly entertaining.
The screenplay is written efficiently.

What’s not there?

High entertainment and lack of logic mostly go hand in hand with each other. In a lighter vein, such scenes can happen only in cinema. This movie also has its share of illogical scenes.
The romantic track of Sharwanand and Surabhi is quite brief.

Analysis

Merlakapa Gandhi, the director of the movie, has woven a highly entertainment package with a simple plot. Hats off! His hold over comedy is explicitly vivid in this movie. To be precise, the comedy element compensates for the flaws in the movie.
