Uyyala Jampala, a Telugu blockbuster, is the film which made Raj Tarun and Avika Gor, both debutantes, a familiar name among the youth. Luck favored Avika and she continued to act in several movies while Raj Tarun sat back and waited for the right chance. Now they come as a pair in another movie named Cinema Choopista Mava.
Cinema Choopista Mava is a family entertainer directed and written by Trinadharao Nakkina. It is the typical love story of a carefree boy falling in love with an intelligent girl. The girl, after many cinematic twists, finally falls for the boy. Predictably the girl’s father asks the boy to prove his love. He asks the boy to take up the responsibility of earning for a month and hence meet the household needs. Will the boy triumph form the rest of the plot.
Raj Tarun is indeed a treat to watch. Even the not-so-great moments are enlivened through his dialogues. He has essayed comedy with great ease. However he has to gain development in dancing. Avika just manages to be a sweet girl in the movie. Rao Ramesh fits the bill correctly for the role of a dad preoccupied with quality. The story goes on predictable lines, the condition set forth by Rao Ramesh is the only exception. It is the screenplay by Trinadharao Nakkina that does the magic.
The film has some sort of freshness attached to it even though it has the predictable elements to it. This movie has lot of commercial aspects. The music by Sekar Chandra is average. Dialogues and cinematography are also appreciable. On the flip side, the director has lifted ideas from different films and he seems to be complacent with that. All the same, being a comical and mass entertainer, you can definitely watch this film for Raj Tarun, dialogues and entertainment value.
