Vettainaai Movie Review
ORE AST REW
- Supporting Actress:
- The performance of the stars are good
- The screenplay is not gripping
- Flashback scenes lack depth
Vettainaai is directed by Jaishankar. “R K Suresh,” “Subiksha,” “V R Rama,” “Ramki,” Vijith Saravanan and Namo Narayanan are in the cast. Munish cranked the camera and Vijay Krishnan edited the film. Ganesh Chandrasekaran composed the music.
Ramki is a gang leader in Kodaikanal and RK Suresh is one of the goons working for Ramki. Suresh gets married to Subiksha. His wife was not interested in this marriage but was forced. After his marriage, the situation changes and the thug wants to lead a peaceful life and hence takes steps accordingly. Will it go well with Ramki? What happened to their relationship? The answers form the rest of the story.
RK Suresh fits well in the role. His body language and dialogue delivery are perfect for the role. Ramki is perfect with his getup and the same goes for Namo Narayanan. Subiksha has done a clean job. Her expressions are neat and she emoted well in the scenes when she was forced to marry the rowdy.
The film didn’t have any new plot, but a decent one. However, the screenplay and execution lack grip. Although the stars fit well in the roles and had done justice to the given characters, some of their characters are not written well. RK Suresh’s character was depicted well in the first half and in the second half, his transformation is not convincing. However, he manages to give his best. The flashbacks didn’t give anything useful but bring some yawning moments to the audience.
What’s Not There?
Vettainaai comes with some good performances, but the screenplay and execution are weak. If you want to watch some gangster story of this kind, you can try this!
