Theal is scripted and directed by "Harikumar." The film features Prabhu Deva, Samyuktha Hegde, Easwari Rao, Yogi Babu, Shatru, Arjai, Imman Annachi, "Bharani," "G Marimuthu," Cool Suresh, Kabali Vishwanth, and Mahana. Gnanavel Raja produced the film. Vignesh Vasu cranked the camera, and "K L Praveen" edited the film. "C Sathya" composed the music.

Plot

Paulraj is a loan shark, and Dorai works for him as a debt collector. He is a hard-hearted man who doesn't care for the people, who pleads him to leave them without harming them. Dorai beats the people and even takes the people's arms, who fail to settle the loan. All of a sudden, a woman appears before him and says that she is his mom. Dorai didn't care about her and even handled her roughly. But, she didn't leave him and visited him continually. Meanwhile, Dorai falls in love with Thilaka. After the entry of these two women, his life witnessed some changes. Will Dorai keep a distance from Paulraj and become a do-gooder? The rest of the film deals with his past, his mother, and the relationship between him and Paulraj.

Star Performance

Prabhu Deva is good in his role as Dorai. His body language and dialogue delivery are good. Easwari Rao plays a sentimental role and she is good on her part. Shatru did a commendable job. Samyuktha has given a decent performance.

Analysis

Theal comes with an interesting story and screenplay. The lead roles are designed well. Prabhu Deva has done a different yet exciting role for the first time. The star selection is neat, and they fit well. Prabhu Deva and Easwari Rao's portions are interestingly created. Although Samyuktha's portion is not the worst, it didn't create any impact. Harikumar maintains suspense in Easwari Rao's role, making the audience watch the film with interest.
