Ashok Selvan had done three successful flicks earlier and would have to be successful this time too. But does the film help him?

Plot: Karthik is the protagonist of the film. He is working in a gloomy TV channel. There is also the story of his love towards Divya, who pays a deaf ear to his love. In the meantime the channel’s boss, who wants to recover from debts, is in the verge of committing suicide, but eventually seek the help of Karthik and Billa (Karthik’s friend), who in turn come up with a fake reality show. There is also the line of Divya asking Karthik to bring unison of a real life couple, who faces hurdle in the form of their politician fathers.

The film mainly focuses on comedy and this is the primary solace of the film. The actors have delivered sincere performances. The onscreen chemistry of the lead pair is good. Oorvasi, Nasser, Mano Bala and MS Bhaskar are pitiable indeed, since they have succumbed to the silliness of their roles.

The boss of the TV show is none other than Karunas and now you will understand why the film relies on comedy. It requires utmost gumption to make a comedian act as the boss. The dialogues given by Karunas is one of the comical solace of the film. Paravai Muniamma returns with a bang in this film and she plays the role of a grandmother helping her grandson succeed in love.

On the flip side, the film appears like a TV serial. The writing is in predictable lines. The routine of wooing a girl could have been even more romantic. There are certain peculiar characters like the mother drinking beer, the manager who is frightened of his employees, etc. In the climax there is lot of confusion.

This film has a story which can very well become a blockbuster, but dialogues and screenplay spoilsport. Ashok Selvan could be even better in his histrionics since the character demands it. Jagan does what he is expert in; teasing. He is seen together with Ashok Selvan throughout the film and literally does what Goundamani did in Ullathai Allitha, being just like a second hero of the film. Bindu Madhavi has confined scope to perform. It is true that the film has some pondering over reality show, but the director could have utilized the story well. This film is the production of Inaintha Kaigal fame C Arunpandian.

Verdict: Maybe the youngsters will like this film.
