Star Performance

Superstar is always a Superstar! His stylish dialogue deliveries and the body language are super impressive. We see the young Rajini from the ‘90s. Thank you so much, Karthik for bringing in the people’s favorite Superstar. Vijay Sethuypathi, Trisha, Simran, Nawazuddin, Bobby Simha and the rest of the star cast happily shared their screen space with Superstar.

We couldn’t say that this is a brand new script for the film industry. But, Karthik’s screenplay made it impressive. Although Rajini is a super talented actor, who could emote wonderfully to any situation, it is his charm and style that impressed the audiences. Karthik had brought that Rajini from the ‘90s not only for the fans but also for himself. Whether it is with Trisha or with Simran, Rajini proves that he is still young. The action scenes are stunning and Rajini did it in his style. Although Anirudh’s songs are good, BGM is not much impressive. The cinematography is perfect with beautiful lighting even in the foggy woods. Hats off Tirru! Editing is good, but we couldn’t avoid the length of the film, as it script needs it.

What’s There?

  • Superstar’s style, action scenes and comedy are simply superb
  • Twist in the climax is excellent
  • A huge star cast with biggie actors is also a big plus
  • The first half moves at a quick pace

What’s Not There?

  • Some logical loopholes
  • A bit draggy second half

It’s a super treat for Thalaivar fans and Rajini and Karthik Subbaraj had completely satisfied the Thalaivar fans. The logical loopholes and some more minor flaws in the film might not affect any Thalaivar fan and it is only for the general audience. Petta is Top Tucker! Get Rajinified!
