In some areas of Tamilnadu, untouchability is still in practice. Vijayaraghavan, an IPS officer, gets a posting in one of such areas. He tries to explain to the people about equality. But, his life takes a turn when three girls working in a factory go missing. It is shocking to see two of them found dead. Who is behind the murder? Will Vijayaraghavan find the criminals behind this mystery? The rest of the film deals with it.
Udhayanidhi looks good in his role. He has improved his performance a lot from his previous film. Aari, Shivani and Tanya had done justice to the given roles.
The director has done justice to the original. Without spoiling anything from the original script, Arunraja Kamaraj has made Nenjukku Needhi. He has adjusted the script to suit the Tamil sensibilities. The stars are picked up well and given the right roles. The cinematography is fantastic, and the BGM is excellent. These two are the pillars of the film. The production and technical values of the film are superb.
What’s Not There?
Though the film didn’t have a new subject, it was interestingly executed by the director and performed by the leads. Nenjukku Needhi is watchable once!
