Enna Solla Pogirai is a romantic comedy film scripted and directed by Hariharan. Vikram is an RJ. His father started seeking him a suitable bride, and he felt that Anjali would be the right one for his son. Anjali, a writer, thinks that she should marry a guy who already had a relationship with a girl and now had a breakup. When she tells this to Vikram, he nods yes, as if he had a heartbreak. At once, Anjali wanted to meet his ex-lover. So, Vikram arranges Preethi, a theatre artist, as his fake love interest. As Preethi’s grandfather was forcing her to marry, she says Vikram is her lover to escape from the situation. What happens next? Was Anjali satisfied with Vikram’s past else did she find out his drama? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

Ashwin makes a decent debut with his romantic role. Teju and Avantika did their parts gracefully. Delhi Ganesh, Pugazh, Subbu, and others had done a good job.

Though the story is predictable, the screenplay is impressive. The characters are designed well, and the stars are rightly picked for the roles. However, certain comedy scenes seem to be forced, not attracting the audience. The scenes between Vikram and Preethi are beautifully depicted, and the stars did those scenes well and impressed the audience. The film has a lot of emotional and romantic moments that satisfy the audience. The music by Vivek Mervin is excellent. The visuals are fantastic, and the editing is good too.

What’s There?

  • The screenplay is neat
  • The performances of the stars are appreciable

What’s Not There?

  • The comedy scenes seem to be forcedly inserted
  • The story is a bit predictable

With the proper execution and performances, the film impressed the audience. Though it is the debut film, the leads tried a lot to satisfy the audience and succeed.
