“Chiyangal” is directed by Vaigarai Balan. Karikalan, Risha Haridas, “Nalinikanth,” Durai Sundaram, Shakthivel, Samuthiraseeni, Narayanasamy and Eshwar Thiyagarajan are in the cast. Besides playing an important role, Karikalan, produced the film.
Plot

As a couple of friends had to face something bad, the rest of their friends are shocked and couldn’t decide what to do next. Their dream is to visit Chennai and one of them wishes to travel by plane. These five senior citizens decide to accomplish their life goal and started their journey to the capital city of Tamilnadu. What happens next? Did they achieve their goal? Watch the film!
Star Performance
The lead stars performed impressively. Nalinikanth, the yesteryear villain actor plays one of the lead roles and his performance is so natural. Eashwar Thiyagarajan, Pasupathyraj, Eashwar Thiyagarajan, Samuthiraseeni, Durai Sundaram, Sakthivel and Narayanasamy did justice to the given roles.
Analysis
The plot is based on the friendship of the senior citizens and their emotions. How they are being treated at their home in old age is neatly depicted and many elders could relate it to them. Although there is a couple, Karikalan and Risha doing romance, the elders’ track is interesting. Some emotional scenes are very touching and many could connect it with them. However, some of the dialogues seem to be cinematic and at a point, the film makes us feel like listening to a lesson in the book. Caring about the elders is a must, but the way the director wanted to project is not much impressive. The cinematography and the BGM are good.

Verdict
Although it is not a new subject, the performance of the stars impresses us. If you like to watch sentimental movies that speak about relationships, then you can try this!
