“100 Percent Kadhal” is the remake of super hit Telugu movie 100% Love, which released in 2011. 100 Percent Kadhal is directed by Chandramouli and produced by “Sukumar.” The film has the star cast of “G V Prakash Kumar,” Shalini Pandey, “Nassar,” Thambi Ramaiah, Thalaivasal Vijay, Actress Rekha, Shivani Patel and “Jayachitra.” GV Prakash Kumar composed the music. The cinematography is by Ganesh Rajavelu and editing is by MU Kasi Viswanathan.

Balu and Mahalakshmi are cousins. Balu is the class topper and helps Mahalakshmi, who comes to his house to continue her studies. Mahalakshmi’s father wants her to get married and brings a marriage proposal. But, Mahalakshmi doesn’t want to get married and she is in love with Balu. Although both are in love, there is an ego clash between them. They get separated. When they again meet, did they find their old love exist in them? Watch the film to know the rest.

Star Performance

GV Prakash is okayish with his role. Yet, he is better in Sivappu Manjal Pachai. Shalini Pandey had done what is expected from her. The rest of the stars are okay with their roles.

Although the film is a remake, the director should have slightly changed the film to the current trend. The screenplay and the execution are not much impressive. Many remakes have excelled than the original. But this film didn’t. The film has the gender politics, which says that there are limitations for women. In this era, who will accept this? Although the film has a good set of performing stars, the film seems to be artificial. GV Prakash had given excellent performances in “Naachiyaar” and even in his latest release, Sivappu Manjal Pachai. This film is not up to the mark. The BGM and songs are okayish and the cinematography too.

What’s There?

  • The music is good

What’s Not There?

  • Screenplay, dialogues and the execution are not impressive
  • Performances seem to be artificial

The film didn’t do any justice to the original, which was a super hit, eight years back. If you don’t have any movies to watch this weekend, try this!
