Plot
Siddhu and Karthik are brothers, and they are cared for by her mother, a widow. While Karthik is good at studies, Siddhu is not interested and gets tightly from his mother. Due to her troubled past, their mother behaves rough, which doesn’t go well with Siddhu. Unlike other mothers, she can’t make her children happy but grows them properly, as far as she could. When would Siddhu understand his mother? When will she be relaxed and lead a peaceful life? The rest of the film speaks about it.
Star Performance
Shane Nigam shoulders the film on his shoulders with his excellent performance. Sreerekha is impressive too.
Analysis
The film comes with a sensitive subject with some good actors, who lived in the roles and gained decent attention. The characters are designed well. Sreerekha’s role is defined well with different emotions and reasons for her behaviour. Unlike a regular mother, she has got a good role that helps her prove her skill. Her scenes are exciting and heart-warming too. She might get some solid roles after this film. The dialogues are good. The script tries to showcase different things, including motherhood and societal changes. The film has decent visuals, and the editing is neat. The BGM is okayish.

Verdict
The movie is based on emotions, and the people, who want to watch a fun-filled film, might not be impressed with this film. Yet, Veyil is a passable sentimental entertainer.
