Plot

Samoothiri was the monarch of Kozhikode. Kunjali Marakkar IV becomes the admiral after helping the people a lot as far as he can. How he fights against the Portuguese colonizers to save his country and people forms the rest of the story.

Star Performance

It is needless to say how Lalettan would have performed. His screen presence is more than enough to enjoy the film. Lalettan fits well in the role, and his expressions and body language are amazing. Arjun, Prabhu, Manju Warrier, and Keethy had done their part well. Ashok Selvan has got an exciting role, and he fulfilled the expectations. Pranav has done his part well, and Kalyani is okay.

Analysis

The film has a good script and star cast. The screenplay could have been a little crisper. The casting team had done a wonderful job in handpicking the stars for each role. Almost all the major roles are done by excellent performers, who could easily pull out any roles. Whether it is Fazil or Hareesh, Prabhu or Arjun, Suhasini or Kalyani, everyone got their share to express. The VFX works are good, and the sound department has also done a great job. Tirru beautifully captures the visuals, and the editing is crisp. The art direction by Sabu Cyril Sabu Cyril was born on January 27th in Kerala’s Ko >> Read More... is fantastic. Kudos to the Costume designers for bringing the ancient attire and jewelry before us. The action sequences are well-choreographed and are impressively shot.
