Kaapa Movie Review

2.75 / 5.0

Kaapa is scripted by Indugopan and directed by Shaji Kailas. Dolwin Kuriakose, Jinu V Abraham, Dileesh Nair, Vikram Mehra, and Siddharth Anand Kumar produced the film. “Jomon T John” cranked the camera and Shameer Muhammed edited the film. Dawn Vincent and Jakes Bejoy composed the music. Prithviraj Sukumaran, Aparna Balamurali, Anna ben, Asif Ali, Dileesh Pothan, Jagadish Kumar, “Nandhu,” Sagar Surya, Sajitha Madathil, Senthil Krishna, Biju Pappan, Sreeya Remesh, Jaise Jose, and Padmakumar are cast.

Anand is a techie who is married to Binu. Both live in Bangalore. They get transferred to Trivandrum as their job needs it. Soon, Anand discovers that Binu’s name is on the anti-social elements list. He wants to clear her name, thinking that she is innocent, and seeks the help of Kotta Madhu and his wife, Prameela. While he tries to solve this issue, he gets stuck between the local gangsters. Who is Binu? Is she really innocent? The rest of the film deals with all these.

Star Performance

Prithviraj, Aparna, Asif, and Anna did justice to the given roles.

The film starts on an interesting note, but it loses its grip in the middle. Many scenes are predictable, and even the twist before the climax is easily predictable. The film starts with Anand’s point of view, but after some time, the track changes. Though there are a few interesting scenes and twists, some are predictable and hence the audience didn’t get much thrill. However, the stars’ performances pull them to watch the film till the end. The visuals and music are pretty impressive.

What’s There?

  • The performances of the stars are neat

What’s Not There?

  • Some twists could’ve been made better

Though the film has some minus points, the film has some exciting sequences. If you love to watch the performances of the lead stars, then you can try this film without any doubt!
