Plot
Joji aspires to attain extreme wealth because he is an engineering dropout and the youngest son of a wealthy family. He decides to carry out his plans in response to an unexpected family event motivated by greed and blind ambition.
Star Performance
Fahadh Faasil as Joji did a brilliant job. The story shifts from a man with drooping shoulders and a careless demeanor to a mysterious figure with a sinister motive, then to a cunning assassin. Baburaj (Jomon Panachel) and Unnimaya (Bincy), who subtly convey their inner conflicts as though no one is watching them, stand in stark contrast to Fahadh's narcissistic performance.
Analysis
Shakespeare's play Macbeth served as the story's primary inspiration. In addition to the strong script, the editing and cinematography make the film more compelling. There are some scenes without dialogue because the director wants you to have enough time to get to know the characters and the tone of the movie. Shyju Khalid's cinematography and Justin Varghese's music are exceptional; they signal the emotional and spatial shifts in a meticulously controlled yet expressive way. They create an intriguing sense of disharmony by contrasting the darkness that has settled inside the house with the blue skies and the lush greenery outside. The build-up is good, even though it is a little slow, and it makes us wonder what will happen next, given that many of the main characters have ulterior motives. Even though some of our doubts are genuinely baseless, the film does encourage us to keep our suspicions. There is not enough representation of female characters. The ending was sort of predictable and was powerful enough, as expected. Â
