Vinod Prabhakar is direly in need of a hit. Will Tyson (it is not inspired by boxer Mike Tyson) give him the much-needed appreciation? Watch the movie to know.

Plot

Vinod Prabhakar considers his father as the role model and wants to become a sub-inspector like him. There is also the love angle. Will the hero brave all odds and emerge a winner in both his personal and professional life? Watch the movie to find out.

Star Performances

Vinod, who is the son of Late Prabhakar, plays his role of a no-nonsense guy with conviction. Gayathri Iyer emits onscreen charisma. Chikkanna does his job in a commendable manner while Vinaya Prakash and Srinivas Murthy have done a convincing job. Vinaya Prakash has donned the role of Vinod’s mother and one may remember her playing the lead of Prabhakar many years back. Arasu shines in his performance as the villain.

Analysis

The romance element of the movie is smartly connected with the police element including the fear of the heroine’s dad towards the police force. Ramnarayan, who was a lyricist (he had helmed direction for films like Paipoti and Snehitaru earlier) has seen to it that he taps the talent of Vinod Prabhakar to the fullest extent.

What’s there?

  • The screenplay is one of the highlights of the movie.
  • The movie is well balanced with romance and family sentiments.
  • The movie progresses at a good pace.
  • The cinematography is one of the technical finesses of the movie.
  • The dialogues add flavor to the film.
  • The romance between the lead pair is quite appealing.
  • Jassie Gift, V Haricharan, and R S Ganesh have given good music.

What’s not there?

There are consistent action sequences in the movie that may test your patience.

Verdict

The story is cliched, but director Ramnarayan’s treatment makes the film worth watching. Tyson may boost the career of Vinod though it is not a milestone in Sandalwood.
