Films of thriller genre are being helmed in Indian cinema of late, and Ring Road falls under the category of psychological thriller. And it inevitably brings to your mind the murder of an engineer (which happened in 2010), where the fiancée of the murdered and her lover were found guilty. This film deals about the temperament of the ordinary individuals who tend to become murderers.
You have to wait patiently in the first few minutes of the film to get the grip of it. There is no beating about the bush; the murder is presented in the film in the initial scenes itself. The reasoning behind the death is told in a beautiful way and you have got to watch the movie to find out. For example,  what was instrumental In the murder of the engineer was showcased nicely. The film shows that everyone is a prisoner of circumstances. 
Though the filmmakers claim that the film is not based on real life incident, it indeed shows to be so. 
There are many subplots in the movie which raise your expectations. The mindset of a charming girl (who can charm any guy) is experimented with in this film in a beautiful manner
Certain scenes clearly show that youngsters are the target audience of the movie. 
The film does not give you any readymade answer, instead presents certain possibilities as to how the murder could have happened. Surprisingly the film is devoid of court scenes, and it only deals with the emotional turmoil of the individuals involved. 
This film is helmed by women completely and it is vivid that extensive research has been done for it. 
On the flip side, since there are several characters in the film and the real impact of the story is reduced. One wonders why many cameo performances are inserted into the film. Also, The viewer has to grasp several things throughout the movie. The emotional scenes could have been crafted well. 
Nikita and Vijay have done a commendable job. Priya Belliappa Priya Belliappa is an Indian movie director. She i >> Read More... , the director, has tried to deliver her best but stumbles at certain instances. However, the way in which a woman’s deepest nature is presented (through Suma in this film) should be applauded.
Verdict: The road indeed has many hurdles, but you can surely travel it if you want to reach the destination.
