“Pogaru” is an action thriller flick scripted and directed by Nanda Kishore. Gangadhar of Sri Jagadguru Movies produced the film. The movie has an interesting star cast of Dhruva Sarja, Rashmika Mandanna, Raghavendra Rajkumar, “Dhananjay,” P Ravishankar, Sadhu Kokila, Kai Greene, Morgan Aste, Kuri Prathap, Mrinalini Ravi and Mayuri Kyatari. Chandan Shetty composed the music. Vijay Milton cranked the camera and Mahesh edited the film.
Shiva, who loses his father at an early age, longs for his mother. But, his mother remarries and Shiva is sent to an orphanage. Angered by his mother’s behavior, Shiva lives his life as he wishes. He doesn’t care about anyone’s feelings and find ways to earn money quickly. But, he has a soft heart, which is revealed occasionally. Shiva’s worst behavior against people earned him a lot of haters. Geetha, one of the girls who get hurt by Shiva’s behavior, decided to make him good, as she trusts him with his positive side. The rest of the story deals with how he settled in his life.
Dhruva has worked hard for this film. He waited for years and transformed his physique for the film. Rashmika is a template heroine. She is impressive with her looks and neat performance.
Although the story is not something special, the way Dhruva Sarja transformed needs a special mention. He had worked really hard to shed weight and to put up huge. He looks gigantic and suits well for the role. The climax is a surprise for Dhruva’s fans. The action sequences are a treat to the eyes of action movie lovers. All the masala elements are present in the film. The music is not much impressive. The cinematography is good and the editing is okayish.
What’s Not There?
It is a usual masala movie with all sorts of elements like action, fun, romance and sentiment. But, the only plus is Dhruva’s transformation and it holds the film in the watchable category!
