Are you of the opinion that the women are the backbone of our society? Then Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu is a must watch. Let’s delve more into the film which is based on Poornachandra Tejaswi’s short story.

Plot

A group of women wants to show that they are not inferior and, hence, go on a mission to teach the men in the village a lesson or two.

Star Performances

The women perform with aplomb, and the men do what is required of them. B Jayashree appears in a significant cameo role, and she sings for a number.

Analysis

The movie is set in a rural backdrop and the language used is loyal to the society it belongs. The movie showcases the day-to-day rustic life and the caste discrimination that we create ourselves. The women are teased as cantankerous and, hence, these women want to prove who they are. These women are also not given due respect. How these seemingly aggressive ladies turn to be path breakers form the crux of the film.

The writer of the short story, Tejaswi herself, is being discussed in the movie!

What’s there?

  • Each and every character is given significance, and the bond between husband and wife is portrayed to a pretty good degree.
  • The Kannada language that is being conversed is raw to the core, and it can be considered positive or negative depending on your mindset.
  • The director Suman Kittur has meticulously worked on the film.
  • One can relate with the characters in the movie.
  • The cinematography is excellent.
  • The background score is appealing.

What’s not there?

  • Rather than driving a serious message, the movie seems to be more of a humorous one.
  • The movie had gone through several censor process, but the outcome seems to be good.

Verdict

If you want to experience the strong determination of women, then watch this film. It will strike a chord with you.
