Plot

Star Performances
Parambrata is a competent actor but given the bad script what can he do? However, he has done quite well in the second half. Paoli also could not escape criticism owing to the incompetent writing. But she too has done what is required of her.
Analysis
I wonder whether the filmmakers are confused in bringing a good script neatly on the screen. The premise would have everything to make it a success but when it comes to presentation the filmmaker stumbles. Yaara Silly Silly is one such film. It has everything (a somewhat platonic love) that it takes to make it a box office hit but ultimately it falters. The directly seems to have desperately called for the pondering of the viewers in trying to deliver a message, but the screenplay plays spoilsport. Also, the film has some resemblances of Chameli (it's another story that Chameli had a lot of grace in it).
Paoli Dam, who is renowned in Bangla films (she had worked in some successful endeavors too) has re-entered into Bollywood after a long gap.
What's there?
1. The film takes the lead characters in the exploration process.
2. The message that women of loose values can also be good individuals is something appreciable.
3. Ankit Tiwari's music is commendable.
What's not there?
1. Sometimes the dialogues make one embarrassed.
2. Parambrata and Paoli's onscreen chemistry is not so appealing as it requires for a movie of such genre.
3. The screenplay is not up to the mark.
Verdict
Yaara Silly Silly works in bits and pieces.
