Plot

Vijaykumar is one of the leading heroes in the film industry and he has been busy shooting for his next film, and after completing the film, he has to fly overseas for his next project. But, during the shooting, he is in need of a driving license to complete a particular sequence. Omprakash is the vehicle inspector, and a misunderstanding between the hero and the inspector leads to a commotion. Even Vijay’s die-hard fan wants Vijay to get the License to complete the shoot. Things become complicated as there is a possibility of getting the License only after a month. What happens next? Will Vijay fly overseas before completing the shoot? The rest of the film deals with this.

Star Performance

Akshay Kumar played his part well. Diana Penty didn’t have anything significant to do. Emraan Hashmi’s expressions are good. Abhimanyu Singh has got a good role, and he excelled in it. Meghna’s comedy timing is just fantastic, and her chemistry with Akshay is highly laudable. Nushrat got a decent role, and she fits in it.

Analysis

The director has worked hard to do justice to the original film. The first half is good and impresses the audience more than the latter. Emraan’s transformation is well shot, and he has done a good job and gets appreciation from the audience. Though the stars perform well, some characters seem to be forcedly inserted. Except for the Mein Khiladi song, others didn’t impress. The visuals are good, and the BGM too.

What’s There?

  • The performances are appreciable
  • The film has good production values

What’s Not There?

  • The second half could’ve been better

Verdict

If you love watching enjoyable comedies with good performances, you can watch Selfiee. But, leave all your expectations at home and go to the theatre!
