Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar Movie Review
ORE AST REW
- Amrita Puri
- Parineeti’s performance is neat
- The screenplay and execution should have been better
- Some characters are not written well
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar is scripted, directed, BGM Scored and produced by Dibakar Banerjee. Varun Grover co-scripted the film. The songs are composed by Anu Malik, Narendra Chandra and Kamlesh Haripuri, along with Dibakar. Anil Mehta cranked the camera and editing is by Bakul Baljeet Matiyani and Paramita Ghosh. Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra play the leads. Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghubir Yadav, Sanjay Mishra, Amrita Puri, Archana Puran Singh, Sheeba Chaddha and Ananya Khare are in the supporting roles.
Pinky alias Pinkesh is a police officer and has been suspended now. Sandeep Kaur is a banker who has been targeted by her boss. Pinky comes to Sandeep’s rescue. What did they do to escape? Did Pinky and Sandeep manage to join their respective jobs? The rest of the film deals with it.
Parineeti is good as usual and had done a decent job. Arjun Kapoor tried his level best by coming out of his comfort zone. The rest of the stars, including Neena and Raghubir, fit well in their roles.
The title makes everyone confused, but the script is not. However, nothing is special in the film, except some decent performances from Parineeti, Neena and Raghubir. Arjun Kapoor should have tried something more to fit well in this role. Probably, the role hadn’t suited him. On the other hand, Parineeti’s role is well written and she portrayed it well. Jaideep Ahlawat is not given a proper role. If the writing had been interesting, then the film might have traveled on a better path. The cinematography is excellent and BGM is decent.
What’s Not There?
Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar has a different script but a slow-paced narration. Some of the characters miss the detailing, including that of Arjun Kapoor. However, Parineeti, Neena and Raghubir make the audience watch it for their performances.
