Pathaan, the action entertainer, is scripted and directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra. Satchith Paulose handled the camera, and Aarif Sheikh edited the film. Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara composed the music. The film features Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role. Salman Khan plays a cameo role.

Jim, a RAW agent, wants to take revenge on India. This happened when Article 370 was revoked. Jim’s actions help Pakistan, and they want to capture Kashmir. Pathaan comes in and tries to break their efforts to capture Kashmir. Rubina Khan enters the life of Pathaan, and this appeals that she tries to distract him from his mission. Is she a friend or foe? The rest of the film deals with how Pathaan saves the country from the anti-social elements.

Star Performance

After a long, SRK is back to his form as a complete action entertainer, and his performance is adorable. He excels in action scenes, and his body language and dialogue delivery are fantastic. He looks majestic in the rugged look. John Abraham is stunning, and Deepika Padukone did what was required for her role.

The director has brought back SRK for his die-hard fans. He made a superb role for the actor to get back to his old form. After Chennai Express, many fans missed old Shah Rukh. However, they could see a brand new Shah Rukh with a complete action avatar laced with romance. Though he has done action movies in the past, he has appeared as a romantic hero doing some action sequences. Pathaan has just vice versa. The action portions are choreographed extremely well, and the patriotic element is injected well. The film gives a Hollywood appeal. Though we see some chasing sequences and stereotypical dialogues here and there, everything vanishes with the solid patriotic element. Though the script is not outstanding, SRK anchors it well and shoulders all the weight on his shoulders. SRK’s BGM is good, and the music is just okay. VFX could’ve been better.

What’s There?

  • SRK’s presence and performance
  • Salman’s cameo

What’s Not There?

  • Not a unique script
  • The music and VFX could’ve been better

The film will be a big treat to the fans of SRK and action movie lovers. You can watch it if you are one of those action movie fanatics or an SRK fan!
