Plot

Omerta is based on the life of Omar Sheikh, a British terrorist of a Pakistani descent. The movie revolves majorly on the 1994 kidnapping of the Westerners in India, 2001 attack on the United States, 2002 kidnapping of Wall Street journalist Daniel Pearl, 2008 attacks in Mumbai are elaborated how they came into being and Omar's role in the process. The movie sheds light on how young minds are manipulated by rogue activists in the name of jihad to spread terror and horror among the people of the world.

Analysis

Omerta follows Omar Sheikh in his endeavors to spread complete terror and horror across the globe. The movie is not for the weak. Some major terrorist attacks have been elaborately explained and Omar's participation in the event is shown keenly. Rajkumar Rao astonishes us with yet another strong performance. You feel the hatred, disgust, and anguish throughout the movie. There scenes of utter violence and anger. Star Performances

Rajkumar Rao steals the show yet another time.The actor has been enticing us in with his acting skills since the beginning of his career. He portrays the character so well, be it the body language or his British dialect changing to a much Indian-ised version. The actor that plays Daniel Pearl, Timothy Hickernell matches Rajkumar’s energy in some scenes making them very intense and real.

  • The movie does not showcase Omar’s initial life before becoming a terror which leaves with some questions unanswered.

Omerta is a must watch just for Rajkumar Rao. The story explains his intentions and beliefs behind his actions. A glimpse into someone else's life is a great experience to have.
