Bunty Aur Babli 2 is a comedy movie scripted and directed by Varun V Sharma. Aditya Chopra produced the film. Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Sharvari Wagh, Pankaj Tripathi, Yashpal Sharma, Mohit Baghel, “Asrani,” Gopal Datt, Prem Chopra, Lankesh Bhardwaj, and Neeraj Sood are seen in prominent roles. Gavemic U Ary cranked the camera, and Aarif Sheikh edited the film. Julius Packiam composed the BGM, and the songs are by Shankar Mahadevan, Ehassan, and Loy.

Bunty and Babli stopped their con activities, and now, they are living a normal life in a small town. Rakesh, the Bunty, is now a ticket collector, and the Babli, Vimmi, is a homemaker. Their normal life turned out to be adventurous when they heard that a couple used their name and started cheating. Jatayu Singh, the inspector of police, wanted to catch those new Bunty and Babli with the old B and B. Kunal and Sonia are the new B and B, and they completed their engineering course recently. Why are they involved in the scam? Were the senior B and B able to get them? All these are dealt with in the second half of the film.

Star Performance

Saif and Rani perfectly fit in their roles and impressed the audience. Pankaj Tripathi has done a decent job. Siddhant is okayish with his role.

The biggest plus in the film is the sequel to the hit film, Bunty Aur Babli, and the leading actors, Saif and Rani. The chemistry between Saif and Rani is fantastic, and their on-screen presence is fun to watch. The sequel is okay, but the writing should have been better. If Rani’s comical performance hadn’t worked out, it would have been challenging for the makers and audience. The production and technical values of the film are good. The visuals are neat, and the BGM is good. The songs are cool.

What’s There?

  • The script is okay
  • The performance of the lead stars are good

What’s Not There?

  • Pankaj had done similar roles many times
  • Writing should have been better

Although the film has some hilarious moments and exciting sequences, the director couldn’t bring the energy and enthusiasm that Bunty Aur Babli brought. However, the sequel is watchable once for its comical elements!
