Plot

The film is not about the victory of the Indian team in the World Cup, but how the underestimated team gained respect in the world arena and installed deep hope among its country's people. It deals with the Indian team who won the world cup in 1983 and their huge efforts to lift the world cup played against the unbeatable team, West Indies, at that time.

Star Performance

Ranveer Singh played the role of Kapil Dev with utmost dedication. His body language, dialogue delivery, and voice modulation are fantastic, and the audience will undoubtedly enjoy the star's performance. His effort to pull off the batting and bowling styles of Kapil is impressive. Analysis

Making a story and designing the scenes is comparatively easier than making a biographical movie. This needs heavy research, and if any particular incident is shown either this end or that end, it will make the entire team answerable to the criticism. Kabir Khan and his team didn't make that happen, and they have made a clear picture of the real-life incidents. Whether the discussion scene or the field scene, every shot was properly planned and executed. The stars are hand-picked, proving that they are the right choice. The film has excellent visual appeal, and the music blends well with the scenes.
