Top Gun: Maverick is an action thriller scripted by Ehren Kruger, Christopher McQuarrie, and Eric Warren Singer and directed by Joseph Kosinski. Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer are cast in prominent roles. Claudio Miranda cranked the camera, and the editing was by Eddie Hamilton. Harold Faltermeyer, Lady Gaga, Hans Zimmer, Lorne Balfe, and Johnny Marr composed the music. Skydance Media and Don Simpson/Jerry Bruckheimer Films bankrolled the film.
Pete Mitchell is a fighter flight pilot who has been in the service for 30 years. He was invited again to the Top Gun to train some pilots. Pete’s friend Goose’s son Bradley Bradshaw is one of those trainees. Unfortunately, Goose was killed in a war, before years and so, Pete wishes to safeguard Bradley. Was he able to do so? Was he successful in the mission assigned to him? The rest of the film deals with it.
Tom Cruise is excellent in action and emotional scenes. The rest of the stars have done their job perfectly.
The film starts at a slow pace, but picks up the speed after the intro scenes are over. The action choreography is okay; however, the stunt scenes are less, while compared with Tom’s previous films. However, the fighter plane scenes are fantastically shot, and they impress the audience. The visuals are breathtaking, especially the flight shots. The audience will definitely feel that as if they are in a fighter plane. The editing is perfect, and the BGM is decent.
What’s Not There?
Except for a few minor flaws, there is nothing negative
The film has all the essential elements for the action movie fans. If you are Tom Cruise’s die-hard fan or an action movie lover, this film will mesmerize you!
