Tom And Jerry is an animated film with a slapstick comedy genre. The characters are created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, as we already know. The film is scripted by Kevin Costello and directed by Tim Story. The film has live-action roles performed by Chloe Grace Moretz, Michael Pena, Colin Jost, Rob Delaney and Ken Jeong. The voice actors are Nicky Jam, Bobby Cannavale and Lil Rel Howery. Warner Animation Group produced the film. The cinematography is by Alan Stewart and the editing is by Peter S Elliot.
Tom and Jerry are shifting to New York. While Jerry searches for a good stay place, Tom wishes to become a pianist. To impress the people with his music, he plays the piano in a park. To get their sympathy, he acts as a visually challenged cat. Jerry enters a hotel and steals a customer’s bag. Kayla, who joins the hotel, tries to catch Jerry. At the same time, Tom finds Jerry at the hotel and fights with him. Kayla noticed this and decided to employ Tom to catch Jerry? What happens next? Did Tom become a pianist and Jerry finds a new home? Answers to these questions form the rest of the story.
Tom and Jerry are always interesting and this movie has come with the same motto to impress the audience. This time, we see the Tom and Jerry duo in an animated version with actors and a different plot. The animation works are fantastic and the music is good. It is interesting to see the film juggle from regular mode to animation. It might have been a tough task for the makers and yet, they had done their best. The film is sound in terms of production and technical values. Although some scenes are a bit stretchy, it is the stars' performances and Tom and Jerry duo who made the audience stick to their places till the end.
What’s Not There?
As usual, the Tom and Jerry duo impressed the audience with their slapstick comedy. If you are a lover of Tom and Jerry, you will like the movie for sure!
