Plot

Eloise is an aspiring fashion designer. Her mother committed suicide when Eloise was a kid. Eloise sees her mother's spirit at her home. Eloise moves to London to pursue her higher education. In her dreams, she travels to the '60s and meets Sandie, her doppelganger. Sandie is a singer. Eloise also meets a hotel manager, Jack, in her dream. After a few incidents, she sees Jack killing Eloise and moves to a police station to register a complaint. But, she didn't get a proper response. Soon, the difference between the dream and reality started diminishing in Eloise's life. What happened next? Was she able to come out of her dreams? Why did she get such dreams? The rest of the story deals with all these.

Star Performance

Thomasin McKenzie has done a fantastic job as Eloise. Anya Taylor, Matt Smith, and the rest of the cast had done justice to the given roles.

Analysis

The script and the screenplay are well-written. The stars are placed in the right roles, and they have done a great job. The production designing team receives appreciation for the excellent '60s sets. The director Edgar Right had narrated the story in the proper order and impressed the audience. Although the scenes are swapped between the old era and the present time, they didn't confuse, as they are properly filmed and edited. The visuals and BGM match the sequences perfectly.

Verdict

Although the film comes with some mistakes, the audience is impressed with the narration and the performances. With the stunning BGM, the film takes the audience to the '60s and brings them back to the current period. Last Night in Soho – watch-worthy!
