With Rocky's encouragement, Adonis decides to take on the role of fighting for a third Creed great-grandchild, his son.

Adonis face a new opponent in the ring, Viktor Drago, the son of Ivan and the man responsible for Apollo's death. Ivan's son is a powerful and intimidating boxer, and Adonis faces an enormous challenge in the face of this tough opponent. Adonis must learn to trust his skills and summon the strength and courage of his father and his mentor Rocky to win over Drago in the ring.

Analysis

The film is beautifully crafted and powerfully written. Each scene has beauty and emotion, and the performances are irresistible and fascinating. Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Milo Ventimiglia, and Dolph Lundgren all deliver strong performances. The boxing sequences are intense and choreographed with precision and detail. The powerful camera work, the excellent performances, and the emotional storyline make Creed III a must-watch.

What’s There?

  • The intense story and emotional, dramatic scenes make it an overwhelming experience.
  • Creed III was also a visual treat. The cinematography was stunning, with wide ranging aerial shots and tight shots of the boxing rings. The fight scenes were thrilling, with the camera switching between overhead shots and close-ups.

What’s Not There?

  • The pacing or the stretch of the film were decent. The first act of the movie was prolonged and took considerable  time to establish the story and characters, which caused a dullness in the middle of the movie.
  • The climax was a bit too drawn out and felt a bit rushed.
  • The fights were less intense than the previous Creed movies. The opponent’s role seemed just for pushing the story further.
  • Creed III is too rushed to deliver all the emotional bits it promises. One can easily predict what is expected to happen in the upcoming scene.

Verdict

The third movie of the Creed series was met with mixed reactions. On the one hand, the film had satisfying fight sequences and strong acting. On the other, the pacing and tension were lacking in certain scenes, and some of the fight scenes could have been better.

However, it’s a must-watch for the Creed series fans or just the Rocky series fans. It gives a heartfelt climax to end the story with intense dramatic satisfaction.
