Adam Jones works as a top chef in Paris restaurant. But, as fate could have it, drugs and alcohol take a toll in his career. He moves from New Orleans to London. Adam has a chance of recouping from bouts of alcoholism when he is hired by his former employer in a London restaurant. Adam Jones is a perfectionist and expects his new staff to behave accordingly. Cooper’s performance is commendable, and he does a fine chef in the movie. His interaction with Helene’s seven-year-old girl earns applauses. Another noteworthy scene shows him putting his head into a bag.

The script restricts performance by Cooper. Leaving alone one character in the movie, every other performer resists Adam (Done by Cooper). But, in due course they fall for his charisma. Even a rival utters moving dialogue about Cooper in the movie. Daniel Bruhl, the obsessed Tony, Sienna Miller and Helene together bring back meaning to Cooper’s life. But the characters have failed to give depth to their performance while showing their loyalty for Cooper.

The script provokes laughter, and the twists are easily made out. But, these are insignificant issues. The movie is, of course, a joy ride to restaurants one could hardly manage to see in his lifetime. Bradley Cooper’s performance is worthwhile. But it seems to move away a little from humor. The theme is not the highlight, but audiences should not miss the movie.
