What does the word Aloha mean? It is generally used to greet as well as to bid goodbye. The movie too has its contrasting moments; it is sometimes refreshing, at the same time serious.

Plot: Bradley Cooper Born as Bradley Charles Cooper on 5th January 1975 >> Read More... is working on a military assignment. He is also an corporate fixer at international level. Due to some failures, Cooper is shifted to Hawaii. He has worked in this Air Force Installation earlier. He is assigned to supervise a private satellite’s take off. Bill Murray He is known to be one of the legendary actors in H >> Read More... is the boss of Cooper. Helping Bradley is the beautiful Emma Stone Emma Stone was born in Scottsdale, Arizona. Her or >> Read More... . This lady seems to love him, but Bradley is still in remembrance of Rachel McAdams Born as Rachel Anne McAdams on November 17th 1978 >> Read More... , who is married (she also remembers him), and having kids. All the same, Bradley gets attracted towards Emma.

Aloha reminds us of Crowe’s earlier films. It is apparent that the director is trying his best to bring back the magic that some of his films created.

The plot is in predictable lines. The film also has some flashback of some happening in Brian’s life in Kabul, which is vaguely told. In spite of its ineptness there is something alluring in this movie. The impulses of the characters are shown to a good level, to a particular extent. There are instances in the film when certain things, which are to be confessed in words, are just shown as subtitles.

The film beats about the bush many times. Almost Famous and Jerry Maguire is a couple of Crowe’s good works, and it is very clear that the director wants to restore that image. But the plot is quite weak. Bradley and Rachel have done good jobs. The etching of Emma’s character, who is in awe of Bradley and restores his idealism, is quite good.

Camera work and art direction are outstanding. The film brings before your eyes exotic scenarios of islands.

Verdict: Crowe could have worked better to reproduce the impact of some of his earlier flicks.
