Sonic Boom In Bangalore?

Today, a loud sound heard in some areas of Bangalore and made the people panic amid the coronavirus lockdown. These are the areas in Bangalore, where the people heard that sound: Vivek Nagar, Cooke Town, Hosur Road, Ramamurthy Nagar, HAL, Ulsoor, Whitefield, Kundanahalli, Old Madras Road, CV Raman Nagar, Kammanahalli and HSR Layout. Initially, some people started spreading rumors and many made funny posts on social media that it was an alien visit. Many stated that the vibration was felt for a few minutes.

Although the police officials and air force didn’t confirm, some of the Bangaloreans stated that it might be a sonic boom that would have been created by any aircraft. When the object travels faster than sound, the sonic boom is created. HAL Spokesperson told that they hadn’t conducted any flight tests and similarly, the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Centre confirmed that there was no earthquake recorded. What might be that sound?
