SUCCESSFUL SOUTH INDIAN HEROES TURNED SUCCESSFUL PRODUCERS
Many actors invest their hard-earned money in some useful businesses. Only a few actors invest their money in their industry. Here is a list of few heroes in the south who turned producers.
Kamal Haasan, the popular multilingual actor cum politician, is a producer too. He produced a lot of his films under the banner Raajkamal Films International, right from 1981. Recently he made a film with Chiyaan Vikram, Kadaram Kondan. His next venture is Vikram, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Suriya is one of the dutiful actors in the Tamil film industry. Besides being an actor, he produces films that contain some message useful to society. Suriya’s 2D Entertainment produces almost all the films of Jyothika Saravanan in her second innings. He also produced by “Pasanga 2” and Kadaikutty Singam.
Vishal is one of the important actors in the Tamil movie industry. He produces films under the banner Vishal Film Factory. He started with Paandiya Naadu in 2013 and the latest venture is “Chakra” in 2021. So far, he has produced films in which he played the hero. He also distributed some films, including Jeeva of Vishnu Vishal and Sri Divya and “Yash” starrer “KGF.”
“Dhanush” produces films under the banner Wunderbar Films. His debut production venture is “3,” directed by his wife, “Aishwarya R Dhanush.” He produced three films in 2018, Kaala Karikalan, Vada Chennai and “Maari 2.”
Vijay Antony started his career as a music director. He started his career with Sukran, directed by SA Chandrasekhar that has Vijay in the cameo role. His acting debut started in 2012 with the film “Naan.” Besides being a composer and actor, he had edited a couple of his films, Annadurai and Thimiru Pudichavan. He produced his debut film Naan under the banner Vijay Antony Film Corporation. From then, he started producing films and his latest production venture was Thimiru Pudichavan. A few more films under his production banner are waiting for release.
