This 2011 film directed by Ranjith won the National Award of 2011 for the Best Feature Film in Malayalam. Prithviraj, Rima Kallingal, Thilakan, and Tini Tom appeared in the lead roles with a satirical dig on those who intends to make easy money. Produced by August Cinema, it became a box-office hit and also won the State Best Film Award.
This 2012 film makes a satirical dig on the alcoholics of Kerala. With Mohanlal as the hero playing the character Raghuraman, the picture became a top hit at the box-office and ran for 100 days in the theaters. It also won several accolades including a National Award and two State Awards. Shankar Ramakrishnan, Kaniha, Lena, and Madhu plays other lead roles in it. The songs of this movie also got popular attention for their mesmerizing lyrics and composition.

This film tells the story of a village in old Kerala, and a murder case which shook the place. It features Mammootty in the role of three characters; Ahmed Haji, Khalid Ahmed, and Haridas Ahmed, for which he received a State Best Actor Award. Shweta Menon also won a State Award for her character Cheeru in this movie. Mythili, Sreenivasan, Siddique, and Gowri Munchal played other characters in it. It also brought many accolades to the director Ranjith.
5. Pranchiyettan & the Saint
With the typical Thrissur slang and attitude, Mammootty has put forward extraordinary acting in this film. It became a super hit in 2010 completing 150 days of theatrical run. Innocent, Priyamani, Siddique, and Khushboo also played significant roles in the picture. It portrays the innocence of a common man, and the story progresses through the incidents that take place in his life.
This is one of the favorite films of the Malayalee audience all over the world. With the story of devotion and innocence of an ordinary village girl Balamani, it became a super hit at the box-office. This picture won Ranjith the Best Director Award at the 2002 Filmfare Awards. It also marks the debuts of Prithviraj and Navya Nair. This 2003 movie directed by Ranjith has Kavya Madhavan in double roles, and Indrajith, Jagathy Sreekumar, Sukumari, and Dileep in other roles.
