Yash Chopra shot in many locations in and around Switzerland, including the lake Alpenrausch, which was later renamed Lake Chopra, after the legendary director. The film stars Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna.
2. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge
This iconic film kick-started Shah Rukh Khan’s career as a romantic hero, and his brilliant chemistry with Kajol. Directed by Aditya Chopra, the first half of DDLJ was shot totally in Europe. The locations include London, Zurich, and other charming places. Scenes were set in Trafalgar Square, King’s Cross Station, St. Mauritius Church, Gstaad, Lake Lungern, etc. The two lovers met on a trip around Europe and gave us a glimpse of the beauty of those countries.

This movie had an unusual story of two people meeting in Las Vegas and getting married on a hunch. After becoming sober, they realize they are better suited to be friends and happily alter their relationship.
