Nishanthi Evani is a model and Telugu film actress born in Eluru city of Andhra Pradesh and brought up in Chennai. She is a daughter of famous writer and music director E.S. Murthy. She pursued graduation in the field of Commerce from Chennai.

Her passion for films made her do a course in Film Direction from Mumbai. She is considered to be a cool and bubbly actress. She has a very good mindset of considering all men and women as equals in all aspects. She also says that she can be a great director if not a good actor. She is also known for the controversy over her affair with a young South Hero.
