Famous Telugu and Tamil star Ashwini was one of the Indian actresses who started their career from their childhood. Producer Dr. Bhanumathi Ramakrishna produced a Telugu educational children film in 1982. This film “Bhaktha Dhruva Markandeya” was the debut of 13 years old Ashwini as a childstar. Her performance opened the doors of silver screen for her in early age. She was one of the most demanded actresses of 80s and 90s because of her performance in “Bhale Thamudu”, “Kaliyuga Pandavulu”, “Station Master” and many Mohan Babu films.

Ashwini was born on July 14, 1969 in Nellore. She settled in Chennai due to her film and TV career. She acted in more than 40 Telugu films. She is known as a Telugu star but she played many memorable roles in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam movies too. She worked in more than 110 movies in her whole career.

When her film career started moving towards decline she decided to work on small screen along with silver screen. She acted in many popular Telugu TV serials. She took a break from the showbiz for a couple of years in 2008. In 2012 she announced that she is coming back to film and TV again. She got positive response from a few film producers. Also she signed a Telugu TV serial which was postponed due to her illness. She died on September 23, 2012 at the age of 43.
