Rajiv Kanakala is an Indian actor, director, and producer in Telugu movies and Television. He was born in Telangana, Hyderabad, India. He is the son of a veteran actor of Telugu cinema and popularly known as the acting guru, Devadas Kanakala, and Laxmidevi Kanakala, who is the principal of acting school started by her husband. He initiated his career producing short films in Telugu and also appearing on television. He got his first break in 1995 when he was offered the role of Satyanarayan's son in the movie Rambantu. 

Two years later, he acted in the movie, Peddannayya in which he had a role of Balakrishnan's friend. The next movie released was “ Aaha Aaha, the mega serial was telecasted in Star Vijay >> Read More... ”, in 1998 in which he had a very short role. The next film, “Student no. 1” was a super hit in which his character name was Satya. He earned a lot of fame and success by this film. The next film, ”Aaddi” was a blockbuster which earned around 300 million rupees. Rajiv got the lead role in the movie, A Film by Aravind in which he played Aravind's role. He played the role of a rowdy inspector in the film, Chinnodu. Rajiv married Suma in the year 1999, who was a TV presenter and have hosted more than 50 shows. She also worked on Television in soap operas in the mid-1990's. She is also known for her wicked sense of humor. The couple has two children, a son, Roshan and a daughter, Manaswini.
