David Solomon Raja is an Indian actor who has catered to the Tamil entertainment industry for over a decade. He was born in Chennai,Tamil Nadu on 24th September 1978 . He made his debut on television with a recurring supporting role of a police inspector in Sun TV’s “Thendral” (2009), directed by S. Kumaran and starring Shruthi Raj. Raja’s next appearance on television was also with Shruthi in the popular workplace comedy “Office” (2013), where he was seen playing a major supporting role as David. The show was nominated for the Vijay Television Award for Best Fiction Series for two consecutive years. David’s work in Office generated the praise he required from the audience to take his career to new heights.
It was the guiding light towards his debut on the big screen as an inspector in “Kaththi” (2014). The Vijay starrer movie was one of the highest grossing Tamil films of 2014. David’s suitability to playing a cop on screen increased over time and it was not long before every major movie with a supporting police character featured him such as “Kirumi” (2015), “Kaashmora” (2016), “Nibunan” (2017) and most recently the mystery-thriller “Aghavan” (2019). His latest performance was as Vaanavarayan in the melodrama TV series “Kadaikutty Singam” (2019). David is also a talented singer, having lent his melodious voice at numerous ceremonies.
