Vandana Srinivasan is a budding Carnatic singer. The background singer works for the Tamil Film Industry and delivers her melodious voice in South Indian songs. The independent singer became much loved by the audience in the South. She took birth in Qatar, the Middle East on 22nd May 1988.

Her career involves hit songs in over fifteen Tamil movies such as Thodari, Rummy, Thandavam, Tubelight, etc. A girl born and brought up outside India has developed Hindustani music skills which are loved by the audience. Vandana Srinivasan’s music takes modern Hindustani music to another level. As a child, she received training in Carnatic music from her guru Mrs. Seetha Krishnan in Qatar. After getting training in Carnatic music, she moved to Madras, India in 2006.

She did an undergraduate course in psychology from the University of Madras. It was also the time when she got acquainted with music experts and sound recording techniques. Later, in 2009 she moved to London do a post-graduation degree from the London School of Political Science and Economics. Soon in 2011, she returned to Madras, and that decision changed the course of her career.

She had an idea of working in the music industry, she did a brief job at a corporate company, but eventually, she quit. The year 2012, proved to be crucial for the singer, she did a few music projects and played her cards well. She worked to establish herself in the music industry and then she got the golden opportunity to perform at the Olympics in London.

She sang a couple of song in Thandavam and Madhubana Kadai in 2012. Vandana also got the Best Debutant Playback Singer Tamil Filmfare award for her songs. Since her blockbuster start, she has sung some songs in over fifteen films; her hits include Mazhakaatha, Sakhiya Sakhiya, Adada Idhuyenna, Idhukkuthaane, etc.

In 2017, she contributed in Ved Shankar’s album Madhubaanakadai.
