Shrutika, the granddaughter of the late, talented actor, Thengai Srinivasan, had the very same blood running through her veins causing her to crave for a break in movies since she was 13. When she turned 16, she bagged the opportunity to act with one of TamilNadu's hot and talented stars, Suriya in the year 2002, in the Tamil movie Shree. Critics and the audience felt she was cute only from certain angles and the film, however, went on to drown in the box office.

Her next break came about with Vasantha Balan's Album, opposite Aryan Rajesh and this went on to do an average run at the box office. She then tried her luck at Mollywood with the movie, Swapnam Kondu Thulabharam, opposite Suresh Gopi and this was her big break in the real sense. She went on to receive several rave reviews as feedback on her performance as Ammu in the film. She then went on to appear alongside Jiiva in the movie Thithikudhe and Kamal Hassan's production Nala Damayanthi opposite Madhavan. However, she just didn't click in Kollywood and decided to pack her bags and head for education instead. She went on to pursue visual communication at SRM College, Chennai.

She was discovered at 16 and cast alongside Suriya in the action movie "Shree" in 2002. She is a Tamil and Malayalam-language actress, businesswoman, and television personality from India.
